Comments (English):
The Hotel is located in Montmarte, just 100 meters from subway station (very close to railway station Gare du Nord, where you get a train to CDG airport), and 5 minutes walk from the centre of Montmarte, which is a very fun-, students - area. Also quite cheap. That is why I think that the location is just great. On the other hand, the area of rue Bervic is not so safe, especially at night. We didn't have any problems, but I wouldn't reccomend a women to walk there alone at night. Rooms were in a good shape, but little bit dirty. Also they didn't change towels and bed sheets every day. Staff was very friendly and there was no problem with communication in english. The disadvatage is that hotel is closed between 2 a.m. - 6 a.m. But on the whole it was worth money, and I generally recommend that place. PARIS I LOVE YOU!!!!! Enjoy all!!

When I got to the hostel I was informed that I would be staying at the hotel next door. For 10 euros more a night I would be given a private room with my own shower and bath. This was fine so I did it. I'm not sure what the actual hostel is like but they did accommodate me. Paris is amazing and expensive, while this accommodation was not perfect its a cheap way to stay in Paris and have this experience.

Sorry für den Herbergsvater, aber mein Aufenthalt lässt sich schlichtweg nicht anders beschreiben!!
Die Räume waren schmutzig (v.a. unter den Betten), der Spiegel voller Rost und bei den Lampen kamen bereits die Kabel oben raus. Deswegen wäre ich sicher nicht von dort weggegangen, der eigentliche Auslöser für meine Suche nach einem anderen Hotel waren das grässliche Viertel und der mehr als unfreundliche Nachtportier.
In der ersten Nacht liess er mich exakt 10 Minuten vor der Türe warten. In der dritten Nacht fand ich den Grund dafür heraus. Ich hatte Halsweh und wollte aus der Küche ein wenig Honig holen. Der Nachtportier schlief in der Küche und musste wegen mir aufstehen. Sorry, ich habe mal in einem Hotel gearbeitet und weiss, wie Nachtwache zu funktionieren hat!! Der Betreffende sitzt an der Rezeption und liest, bleibt aber wach! Dies ist keine Art und Weise, wie dies zu geschehen hat - international!
However, als ich mir den Honig holen wollte brauchte ich logischerweise auch einen Löffel. AUS VERSEHEN - und NICHT AUS RASSENHASS wie er dachte, stand ich auf seine Matratze. Der Nachtportier HAT MICH 10 MINUTEN ZUR SAU GEMACHT!! Auch als Student habe ich noch etwas Würde im Leib, so verliess ich die Herberge umgehend. Ich erhielt dafür einen Check, den ich erst mühselig in der Schweiz einlösen konnte.
Der Herbergsvater gibt sich aber wirklich Mühe, lässt die Zimmer regelmässig putzen und bereitet ein den Umständen angemessenes Frühstück vor.
Ich empfehle Ihnen, auf Grund meiner Erlebnisse, das Hotel Bervic Montmartre aus ihrem Index zu streichen.

The owner and workers go above and beyond what many hotel owners do to help the guests. They are extremely courteous, helpful, and hospitable and will do anything to enhance your stay.

The Attention was excellent and the room was nice for a good price, all sort of things were close to the building so it was really easy to get there or to go to other places, really nice place.

It was good, but it is better to have lift so I do not have to drag my luggage to the 5th floor.
The owner was good though, he helped us carrying our heavy luggage upstairs.

It's good located just 50 meters from the tube station Barbés Rochechouart of "Ligne 4" next to "Gare du Nord", the first snip of Paris arriving from the airport.
For the rest, the hotel is confortable enough to spend few days in Paris.

I enjoyed being a guest at Hotel Bervic Montmartre, in Paris.
I have only two observations:
1- I`ve booked a room with a private bathroom. However, upon arriving at the hotel the receptionist told me that in the hotel there are no rooms with private bathroom, and they would inform you of that. And then we made a deal: for the price diference I would have a free breakfast everyday. And I agreed to used a shared bathroom;
2 - the hotel is located in a neighborhood where there are many people from former French colonies in Africa. The nearby streets were so crowded with them, most apparently unemployed trying to hack cigarrettes to bypassers, that sometimes I was afraid of go out.
The hotel staff was very attentious. It`s OK.
Hotel accommodations were welcoming and comfortable, compatible with the price charged, although the room was too warm.

I loved the Staff, the location, and the building had a bit of history! Flat screen TV's in room, cleaned every day and secure. I will stay here on my next visit, it is directly across from the metro. Merci, Bervic Montmartre!!
