ANGEL GUESTHOUSE IS A SWINDLE ! THE PLACE IS CLOSED SINCE 6 MONTHS, IT'S THE GROSER CLOSE BY WHO SAID IT TO US AND THERE'S A PANEL ON SALE ON FRONT OF ANGEL GUESTHOUSE. WE WILL LODGE A COMPLAINT TO THE POLICE !
WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK !! SO MUCH DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY !!

Despite on arrival the guesthouse looking fairly clean. We woke after being back in the room just an hour to finding that we had both been bitten all over. Turning the lights on the bed is riddled with bed bugs!! It was the middle of the night and we were worried they would get in our things, half asleep and itching all over we had to walk the streets to find somewhere else to stay.
Now bed bugs happen, if the owners had of apologised and refunded our money we would have been happy with that. Quite the opposite, we were told we had brought the bed bugs ourselves and would not be refunded. Despite showing the lady how covered in bites we were. No sympathy whatsoever and pretty rude!
Ruined our stay in london!

I booked a double room at the Angel Guesthouse for Friday 10th October to Sunday 12th October, booking out on the Sunday morning. However, I never got that far - On Thursday, 9th October, at 11pm, I received a poorly written email, full of spelling mistake and errors, claiming that my room was unavailable, and that they (the guesthouse) could not give me a room at their guesthouse. In the same email, they offered a replacement guesthouse, across London, for the same price.
I emailed them back asking the location and address of the new guesthouse, and I -still- have not received a reply back! Luckily, we managed to book into the Chiswick Moran Hotel, for only £20 more money overall for our stay.
I honestly urge everyone looking to book here - Don't do it. Find alternative accommodation if at all possible!

I don´t know where to start. As other Reviews will tell you, the only bathroom is being shared by the whole house, which wouldn´t be the biggest problem if it was clean. but it is not. It looked extremely dirty, when we arrived. The room was acceptable, eventhough the sheets had a few stains. but the most repelling aspect was the welcoming, it was cold and we felt out of place. The only positive aspect was the owner on the phone, who understood our complaints.
Overall we decided to leave this house on the same day.
I can absolutely not recommend this guesthouse.

There was no record of our booking when we arrived. The mother and son that work/stay there managed to get us a room anyway but told us we would have to move the following night.
The next day I was told we had to leave the room the following day due to inspection. The mother and son were complaining because they had to move their cats out of their room, which should have never been there in the first place. They are staying there but essentially run the place very unprofessionally. We agreed I only had to leave the room for 1 hour which was fine.
However at 9pm that night, we were told we had to move to another guesthouse in Waterloo immediately because they had to paint the room, even though there was an "inspection" the next day. After extensive arguments with the owner, they paid for our taxi and accommodation for that night. This was the least they could do. We had to pack all our stuff and move for the second time, and stay in an area completely different to where we had booked. The accommodation itself was comparable in Waterloo
The owners and the mother/son did not appear remorseful at all. In fact, the mother told us if we didn't like it we didn't have to stay there. But we had no other choice that late at night.
Overall this place is THE WORST place I've ever stayed in my life. The people are not helpful and guaranteed you will have to move at least once if you do make the mistake of staying here.

My boyfriend and I arrived at Angel's Guesthouse to be greeted by a very nice older women who told us there must have been a mistake, there was no room for us and we should not have been able to make a booking for that evening. This was after I spoke to the owner about 30 minutes before arriving who mentioned nothing and said everything was fine. The Guesthouse seemed nicely decorated, clean and well kept. Yet after talking to the owners on the phone for a few minutes it became clear that this place was run extremely unprofessionally and the owners did not know how to use hostelbookers as they had no rooms available for that night. I tried to keep my cool as we were told there was another place we could stay that they ran nearby. The owner would meet us there when we arrived. After walking to the new location, I called the owner again and was told the location was hard to find. I was to wait 10 minutes on the street corner for him to come and show us in. Because my partner and I were only spending a day and a half in London I became increasingly frustrated. Waiting for the owner of a guesthouse on the corner of a street in London for 30 minutes after a 5 hour bus ride was not my idea of time well spent. After 30 minutes the owner called me and said he could not find us but we were to walk to the end of the road down a little alley to a blue door. The location was not difficult to find and he could have easily given us those directions to begin with. It was obvious they had needed the time to prepare a room because they didn't have one ready for us. The owner, Jonathan showed us to our room, which had two twin beds pushed together to make a double. The room itself wasn't so bad and the owner did knock off 20 pounds from the original price for the mistake. But the whole place looked a bit neglected, was not too clean, and wasn't where we had booked originally, or the place that was advertised online. Also, as soon as the owner left I pulled back the duvet, which was not the right size for the bed and barely covered one of the twin mattresses, I found the sheets were stained and the mattress was falling apart. The end dipped away completely and the springs were all over the place. Basically, the owners ran us around town and were extremely unprofessional with how they handled the fact that they had advertised and booked out a room that in essence, wasn't there. The bed was a mess, the sheets were stained, and the place we stayed in was not the place we had booked online. All in all I would not go back, these guys do not know hot to run a hostel/hotel.

We were three girls from Spain and we booked in Angel's Guesthouse for two nights. After we paid the deposit and they confimed our stay, I received an email just 20 hours before our arrival saying they can't host us because of urgent repairs. They said they will refund my money but after that, I haven't heard from them, nor receive anything. I tried several times to call them, I sent a lot of emails, I have complained to the web I booked with, and I have no answer.
I lost my money because they are cheaters. They should't offer the place they don't have available.
I would never recomend this hotel.

Only a day before I arrived to London , the manager have wroten me a note, telling that it wasn´t possible to go there so I had to booking quickly in another place. it was so annoying and I don´t recommend any person to book there because of the risk of not having place to stay! Not serious!

I had booked 2 double room at the Angle guest house and when I got there they then told me that i was no longer booked there and the place actually place was near Euston. so then i had to take all my luggage get bk on the train to Euston and the area wasn't as nice. They then us one room with a double and 2 singles instead of two double room that i asked for. The room were sparse you could use the cupboards and the kitchen had hardly any equipment so you couldn't even cook. it was a complete disaster i wouldn't book with them again.
